It’s important that you learn its features, and not to jump on it because of the amazing site design.

More importantly, Sprout Social is a powerful platform that combines the power of analytics, customer database, effective scheduling and automation at different levels.

Also, you get to track everything – messages received and the response rate. The last message I sent to my twitter followers, I got a 65% Response Rate and it’s clearly spelt out. You can even improve on it with proper testing and analysis.

To this, I give kudos to sprout developers – their simple and easy to use interface is second to none.

Yes, I still have my objections for using it. Of course I’ll recommend it, but that doesn’t mean it’s the best you can get out there.

Every day, you get to know how many twitter followers you’ve gotten. But the problem is that there is no clear pattern – what caused them to follow you? Which of your tweets inspired them to follow you?

Although they promise to help you engage your audience, but since you can’t successfully understand who these people are and what interests them, how on earth are you going to engage them. I found this really disturbing, and do hope that they’ll get better at it.

You can set up up 100 social profiles and you can connect with more than 35 popular social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Stumbleupon, Pinterest, Google+, Stumbleupon and so on.

You also have access to 10 or more advanced analytics reports. If you’ve a small business that you run with a team, Hootsuite is great for you as it can take up to 10 team members.

What I like about Hoot…

The future is more important for the small business owner than today. That’s why Hootsuite makes it possible for you to manage, organize and schedule future messages to improve your engagement.

Listening is the key to answering the most bugging questions of your audience. I told you earlier that Sprout Social doesn’t give clear insight on what people are saying about your brand, but Hootsuite does.

This social monitoring tool helps you find out the right words and intents of your audience so that you can engage them more efficiently.

In my opinion, there is a better security for reputation, financials and assets when you use Hoot, Sprout Social seems to be secured, but it’s not obvious to customers. Download 100+ of apps for Marketo, Reddit and other social media networks, right from your dashboard.

What I hate about Hootsuite

The message scheduling feature is too advanced for a small business owner who cares about customer acquisition and sales increase. I’m not a technical geek, so why should I try to figure out how to use a particular feature.

Although I’ve mastered its usage, but for the newbie, you may need to watch a short video in order to acquaint yourself with it or just follow the guide.
